When I was out swiping blossoms the other day for the previous post's photo shoot, I came across this fabulous old door on a maintenance building at the little airport we have here. I made a point of going back yesterday to see what I could come up with. I was trying for vintage, hope I got it.
I was a sort of worried, what with the suitcase and all, that I'd be chased out of there. A guy watched me for a while and saw I was harmless so he went back about his business. Unfortunately I couldn't get beyond the fence for a better shot at these lovely old planes, which was sucky. Plus there was a big pole down the centre of the picture which was also sucky. But I managed to remove it using LR.
Squeezing out one more photo of the white blossoms that I acquired on Friday. Hmm, I wonder what tomorrow has in store. I never knew photography could be so much fun!
Thanks Kim Klassen in the Studio.

Took my snippers and drove around town looking for flowering trees. None of the city trees were in bloom yet, but I found these in a runaway garden near the road. So I quickly swiped a few small branches then jumped in my car and took off. Couldn't even tell, besides, the house looked abandoned.
I really wanted pink but the white actually turned out better than I thought.

I took this photo the same day I shot the old brick store in Clayburn Village from my previous post. The car to the right and the wires overhead ruined it for me so I got rid of them using some tools in LR.
Here's what I ended up with and I quite like how it turned out. Can't even tell they were there.

One last photo before the new prompt. I've so enjoyed doing the Editorial-ish prompt, especially this one. It took me back to being 15 yrs. old again, with my leather wristband and old jean jacket that I've kept for all these years. And listening to my favourite album, The Point! by Harry Nilsson and favourite song.
'Think About Your Troubles'
It starts off,
'Sit beside the breakfast table. Think about your troubles. Pour yourself a cup of tea. Then think about the bubbles. You can take your teardrops. And drop 'em in a teacup'.
Here's a link to the song.

Found some beautiful old allies at the Swap Meet today. Lots of Cat's Eyes and maybe even a King Cob but no Peawees. Still, I loved photographing them. So lucky to have some sun for a few hours.
I like this lighter version a lot, too. It reminds me of a pencil crayon drawing.

These are some overhead shots of wax flowers I took for Kim's class. Taken outside on my mossy patio because my house is so dark. I like the washed out look I managed to get.
Taken inside in front of my north facing window. Working on focus and the depth of field thing. And I really like the dark moodiness of this one.
Here, I was just trying to figure out how to capture the light in my house. Taken closer to the north facing window. I'm thinking the light in here isn't that bad. I kind of like this one. Even though I'm not sure about the subject or composition, I feel like I'm making some progress. Now what I really need is, a fancy DSLR camera like all the other kids.
