Snow Day

 This is what I saw when I poked my beak outside my front door this morning. The perfect excuse to go back inside. Yay for snow! 

And yay for curling up by the fire and finishing bunnies.

Barefoot in the Park

I didn't believe the weatherman last night when he said it was going to sun today. But what a perfect day to play hooky in the woods and watch little Clare pretend to be a coyote. 

Everything was out. The mountain tops, 

the eagles,

even the woodland Faeries couldn't resist. I hope this little guy remembers to pick up his skateboard on the way home.

The Morning After

I'm not so frantic this rainy morning as I look out into my falling backyard--about my business and my life. No more, "where will I be and how will I get there?" Not here. It's nice to suddenly pass through the new, of Facebook and webpages, to enter a place where I recognize my surroundings. No buttons to push, just leaves.

The Universe Opens

Things are really starting to happen. The other day I was working on my site and couldn't figure out why my changes weren't showing up. I quickly dashed off an email to the Yola support people, then promptly forgot about it and went about my day. Later that evening I got a reply with the first sentence saying, in nice, big bold letters:
First of all, your rabbits are absolutely darling! followed by some reasons why I could be having trouble. I was thrilled! Somebody noticed me! Trouble? What trouble?

In the meantime, I'd realized I had forgotten to hit the, 'publish to web button'. Oh Lordy, now I have to fess up! I immediately sent off another email explaining how silly I felt, that I was new to the computer and explained what had really happened. The support expert kindly responded telling me not to feel silly. It was a common mistake.

The next part made me bounce off the walls, thank heaven no one was there. She asked me if I'd be interested in having my site featured on their blog! Boing! Boing! Boing! (me bouncing off the walls).
How utterly delicious! Thank you, Universe.

Finally Getting Somewhere

Hi all! Things are clicking along nicely. I've been working hard the last few days trying to make sense of it all and finally, I think I turned a corner. I managed to get Rare Rabbits onto Facebook, link my blog to it and, and, and, my greatest achievement so far, get an affiliate button to my favourite artist. The lovely, talented, sweet, Kelly Rae Roberts. I shall sleep happy tonight. In the immortal words of Homer J. Simpson--I am so smart, smrt!

Mini Launch

Hi again, I thought I'd stop dodging my blog and try to say something. After all I did say I was going to speak of my progression. So, the other day I managed to link my little robot here to my web site. It may not seem like much but from where I sit, it was absolutely gold medal worthy. Also, I did a sort of mini launch by sending out emails to friends, family and past customers with links to my new business. And lo and behold I got an order from a past customer! I do believe this is going to work. This morning I read briefly about increasing my online presence using Face book and Twitter. The author says if you wait til you know how to do everything it'll never get done. She says to jump right in with both feet and just make your mistakes. I don't know, I think if I do that I'll need a blindfold as well, because it feels a lot like I imagine standing in front of a firing squad would. My learn-the-computer-in-a-day-list is getting longer and longer. I hope if I keep doing something everyday I won't forget how I did it the day before. Sort of like when I sat down to write this blog--I forgot how to post. Which reminds me, I should write down my password.
