Stacked Butterflies

 Still working on the stacked prompt from class. Stacked butterflies... I think it works. 

Westminster Abby

We drove up to Westminster Abby in Mission, yesterday. It's a community of Benedictine Monks established in BC. from Oregon in 1939. I read they started building here in 1953.

The corner of a residence building with that Mission style architecture I love so much.

How lucky it was to get this shot of a meandering monk and his flowing robes. 

And here, the beautiful doors he slipped behind.

Stacked Light

Had about ten minutes to take this before the light was gone. Spent five measly seconds answering the phone, and then it was all over! Grrr.

Sugar Pansies

I made some sugared pansies last night for this photo. Still working with the Stacked theme from this week's prompt. 

I really enjoyed today, maybe because I had to wait overnight for the pansies to dry which gave me time to think about the emotion I wanted to show. 

More Stacks

Just a few more pictures of stacks. 

I'm always amazed at how different something can look with some editing in Light Room. And a little sunshine never hurts!

Peony Poodle

The prompt this week for Kim's class is, Stacked. Things that are stacked. Here is my version of stacked things. The overall colour of the photo is pink because I used Kim's Peony texture over top of it.
