Choclolate Pudding & Meadow Grunge

Thought I'd show what I'm learning from Kim Klassen. TEXTURES! I made my own textures to add to my photos. This one is called Meadow Grunge and I love the green. I painted them on canvas using different things like paint, ink, drywall mud and ripped paper. It was really fun and interesting to do and I was covered in paint when I was done. I scanned them into my computer then adjusted them in Photoshop.
And this one is called Cracked Eggs Lt. It's a lighter version of the first texture I did the other day. So now I have two textures of my very own. Woot! Woot!
Here's what they look like on my photos. In Photoshop I stacked them onto the, Making Chocolate Pudding photos I took yesterday.
I love how they turned out.

Chocolate Pudding

Okay, I made my own preset called Chocolate Pudding in Light Room then in Photoshop I used a lightened version of my texture Cracked Eggs, over top of my photo.  Yesterday I found a pretty vintage apron at the junk store, unfortunately it's unrecognizable in the photo. It's the piece of fabric with the green edge, near the bottom of the frame.
Time to clean up my mess, dump out my milk and have a cup of tea. That's actually watered down white paint in the milk bottle.
I really like how these photos turned out, but boy, there's a lot to learn. This took me all day, I'm exhausted.

Cracked Eggs

Still working on the egg prompt, today.
All of the above photos are using Kim's textures.
I really wanted to make one of my own so I watched her instructional videos and here's what I came up with.  I love it. Thanks Kim!
Here's what it looks like on one of my egg shots.

An Honest Thief

Worked on another egg still life today using the nest my husband found yesterday while he was cleaning up.
I was looking through my books for some old ones to use and realized after I stacked them that the one I chose was perfect, it's by Fyodor Dostoevsky called, An Honest Thief.

I am so running out of egg love.

Forget-me-nots & Eggs

Had only a blink of sun to get these shots and now that I've put everything away, the sun is blaring through my window. Oh well, there's always tomorrow and the next day. We have the Eggs prompt for another week, so there'll be a few more egg photos to come.
Even though this one is not the greatest composition, I really liked the shadow from the flowers and the glimpse of sun on the wire basket.
